The AFL finals series, Grand Final, Friday Night Football and Sunday Football are all on Seven in 2010.

Two-time premiership captain Tom Harley and Richmond favourite Matthew Richardson join the commentary team with Bruce McAvaney, Dennis Cometti, Tim Watson and David Schwarz.

Fresh off the nation’s funniest stages Peter Helliar will host Channel Seven’s new playful and irreverent football entertainment show. Helliar casts a tongue-in-cheek look at all the characters surrounding the AFL, taking viewers on a humorous ride visiting the week-by-week moments that have made us all scream, roar, laugh, cringe and cry.

AFL Game Day is back Sundays at 10am with host Hamish McLachlan to tackle all the big footy issues, review and preview the weekend’s matches and have some fun.

Sandy Roberts takes footy fans down memory lane with Brut Footy Flashbacks. The one-hour show takes a look back at some of the most memorable and dramatic AFL matches in living memory.

In 2010, Network Ten enters its ninth consecutive year as a principal broadcast partner of the AFL.

The network continues to set new standards in AFL broadcasting and last year launched its 24-hour sports channel, ONE. All games televised on ONE HD are broadcast in High Definition with 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound while viewers can also view the games on ONE in standard definition on ch12 offering fans even more options to watch their favourite sport. Most games will be televised simulcast on TEN and ONE and all games televised by Network Ten will be replayed each week on ONE, so check your local guides for details.

Network Ten's commentary team is unmatched while its support programming including extended 'Sports Tonight' shows on ONE, 'One Week At A Time', on ONE each Monday night, 'Thursday Night Live' every Thursday night on ONE, and popular shows 'Before the Game', and 'The 5th Quarter' perfectly augment the match coverage.

Triple MIn 2010 Triple M continues to Rock Football.

James Brayshaw, Garry Lyon, Jason Dunstall, Danny Frawley, Shane Crawford, Stephen Quartermain, Hamish McLachlan, Dr. Peter Larkins, Damian Barrett, Mark Stevens, Michael Roberts & Ash Chua are back for another big season of football.

And like all great footy teams, Triple M again continues to strengthen its already stellar line-up by recruiting only the best.

This year, Triple M welcomes a living legend of the commentary box, former Tiger, Cat and Saint, Rex Hunt to our Saturday afternoon squad. Also making the move to Triple M this year is one of the game’s most loved characters – former Geelong great and champion bloke, Billy Brownless.

Former Western Bulldog star and now part of Triple M’s Hot Breakfast, Luke Darcy, debuts this year as co-caller of Triple M’s Friday night coverage. Plus, fresh from Punt Road and still carrying a hint of liniment, Triple M Football welcomes long time mate, Nathan G Brown.

Our expanded Saturday night line up and the introduction of selected Twilight game coverage in 2010 opens the door for the welcome return of Michael Christian to the Triple M commentary box along with our new guy, Barry Denner.

Completing the our line-up across Australia are former Crow and multiple All Australian, Mark Ricciuto and team mate, Rhett Biglands, former Swans, Dale Lewis, Brad Seymour and Troy Luff, ex Lions Richard Champion and Clark Keating along with play by play callers Kym Dillon, Brenton Yates, Damien Mahoney and John Kehoe.

3AW

3AWAs we enter a new decade 3AW Football enters a new era, heading into its 58th year of broadcasting Australia’s greatest game.

In 2010, Brian Taylor and Tim Lane will join our award winning team, complimenting an already strong line up.

BT will share the calling duties with Shane Healy and Dwayne Russell on Friday nights, and join Dennis Cometti, the voice of Channel 7 football and TV’s most popular caller, on Saturday afternoons, while Lane will call alongside Tony Leonard on Sunday afternoons.

On Saturday nights, Leonard will join Shane McInnes, and for the first time, 3AW will also be calling Sunday twilight games, with Bruce Eva and McInnes heading up the broadcast.

Special commentators including premiership coach and player Robert Walls, Norm Smith medallist and premiership captain Tony Shaw and duel premiership player David King are all back for another season, while two of the biggest names in football, playing and coaching legend Leigh Matthews and former Tiger great Matthew Richardson will combine to make our Saturday afternoon line-up the best in the business.

Premiership player Graeme Bond will have all the stats, and Coleman medallist Scott Cummings and Nick Butler will be reporting from the boundary.

Our award winning pregame shows will feature Melbourne’s leading football journalists in Caroline Wilson, Mike Sheahan and Rohan Connolly, along with our special commentators who will address all the major issues and put footy’s biggest names under the microscope each weekend.

Once again 3AW is committed to bringing the most exciting calls, the latest news and the most forthright, experienced and informed views to the airwaves every weekend.

 
 

1116 SEN

SEN 1116Melbourne’s Home of Sport - 1116 SEN, Australia’s only 24/7 all sports radio station, will cover more AFL matches this season than any other broadcaster in the business.

Indeed, Melbourne’s renowned sports mad public will enjoy unrivalled access to the biggest games and the biggest names, and will be provided with the greatest opportunity to have their say.

The calling team - headed by Anthony Hudson,  AFL Hall of Fame inductee Kevin Bartlett, North Melbourne premiership player Wayne Schwass, Andrew Maher and Matt Granland - will be complemented by a who’s who of special comments men, including Hawthorn legend Dermott Brereton, former Essendon champions Matthew Lloyd and Scott Lucas, David Schwarz, Nathan Thompson, Shane Wakelin, Daniel Harford and Terry Wallace.

On Saturdays, 1116 SEN’S pre-match coverage will provide footy fanatics with the perfect lead in to the match of the day. Hudson will call the shots on “Crunch Time” between 11am and 1pm alongside Brereton, Lloyd and gun footy journo Mark Robinson.

On Sundays, 1116 SEN will begin its pre-match analysis at 10am before providing the only commercial coverage of all 1.10pm and twilight matches.

And of course when other stations are pulling the plug on their broadcasts, SEN will just be warming up with fans given the opportunity to voice their opinions on wall-to-wall footy talkback program “Finey’s Final Siren”.

As always, 1116 will be “First at the Footy and last to leave” in 2010.

NIRS

NIRSThe National Indigenous Radio Service (NIRS) will enter its 13th year of coverage of AFL games in 2010.

With a commitment to a high quality broadcast, the NIRS is also a vehicle that provides opportunities for current and former Indigenous players to be involved in the media under the broad banner of AFL Indigenous Broadcasting.

A minimum of three matches are covered each round and broadcast via a vast network of some 200 plus community stations right across the country, including regional Northern, Central and Western Australia. Major city coverage is also possible via Brisbane, Darwin and Perth.

With over 50% of the team being Indigenous, senior callers including Barry Denner, Andrew Underwood and Richard Griffiths are joined each week by former greats including Gilbert McAdam, Ronnie Burns, Glenn James, Dean Rioli, Phil Egan, Mark Browning and Peter “Crackers Keenan”.

Listeners should tune into 989fm in Brisbane or nationally via the NIRS network to hear an entertaining and insightful coverage of AFL games each week.
